So much hoo-hah over the Japanese history textbooks that glorify their loss in WW2, strange isn't it how some nation tick? A whole country in denial of their war crimes, translating it into "good deeds" and how is it that the good is triumphed by evil aka the USA and their 2 atomic bombs? and look who's the states lap dog right now! fetch, boy fetch!
Just like how the Americans are right now, world dominatting tyranny under the disguise of "spreading good/democracy,promoting human rights" or back in the 1930s and 40s "saving from the red-haired colonisation" - how many Japanese kids this generation knows of their real past back in the ww2?
Ah yes, as Europe is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2, i shall not comment on the Russian political progress. Boy, aren't we all getting old and starting to forget and cherish the significance of the past? Old people got no respect no more, who listens to them now? a strain on the economy health budget and taking up cemetery spaces and flooding nursing homes! Oh! more reasons to hate them.
No doubt, those who are hit worst, and have everything to gain politically by rallying hate (can you think of a more powerful tool? fear, possibly, i think) towards a common enemy. China and South korea comes to mind. I thought Asia has a non interference attitude. Yet they interfere with what the Japanese want to teach their kids. i don't think the Japanese are right in denying their war crimes.Inthe textbook publisher defence, the books are only distributed to a certain few schools (oh really?) I do agrree that this controversy does generate publicity for the book, it is now even translated into Chinese and English!! aha, to generate more hatred towards the Japanese? the way i see it, China has developed too fast and now the Chinese are as cuckoo as their neighbours too. More money for the publisher!
I do have my two cents worth on the CHinese tyranny on their own stock of er, people too. but that on a later date!
strange that you read so much horror medical negligence cases on paper. Yet people forgot that medical professionals are only human too. Just that what was handled involves human life and health. When people are sick, they are not happy; when people are not happy they are crappy. It's not all about sadness and grief when someone dies, there's a lot of anger and denial too. Hence the avalanche of lawsuits(or threats of it) , legal actions.
Therefore, medstudents are tortured with legal medicine and medic ethics, oh! such a pain!As if we don't have enough to learn and cramp into our overworked brains!
Many jokes that show how society reviles lawyers and doctors. Seems like being a professional don't even get respect now. If you throw a stone anywhere, it would hit someone who has at least a degree. Jesus, even a hairdresser would have a cert equivalent to a university degree I bet! In fact, they are probably professionals too because hairdressing requires certain skills and artistic talent, so to speak.
Everyone seems to be an expertise in certain field, and seems to be proud and be a show off about it. Then they thump their noses on everybody elses "expertise", and if they happened to be thick skin and proud, they even want to impose it on other people! just to show off the superiority i supposed.
Take a lawyer and a doctor. Lawyer=expert on law, know all about signing for consent and basically handing their "life" over to someone else and having what they thought "absolute no control" over their own health, which they like to think they are an expert and capable of fixing everything right with their twisted self-help books of yoga, chi, what else?
Doctor= A person who knows your anatomy, physiology, pathology, name of drugs, name of microorganism, diagnostic, investigation, prognosis, differential diagnosis than your average Joe or Susan. But most of the time, it's still guessing. And sometimes, you can't be helped if they miss a diagnosis. Ever have to be on call overnight, meeting cranky patients and being pressured and referred to by nurses and everyone else and under strict orders not to bother your seniors/consultants of you'll be dead meat next morning and you don't even have time to pee, much less drink a cup of coffee to at least perk you up!
Doctor have to do a procedure on lawyer, first you need to sign a consent form.
lawyer refused, on basis of not having "control"..everybody seems to be control freaks right now, no wonder the high divorce rate and people marrying late.
Lawyer insists knowing everything and ordering all the way...now how do you do that if you need to be sedated first?
Doctor can't use "bad"language and tell them to "feck off" because Lawyers will sue them, or lodge complaint, or make life miserable for the doctor basically.
Meanwhile, 20 other patients are in the casualties waiting to be seen. Interns or students waiting for instructions or advice from the doctor.
Now, is the lawyer selfish? or is he/she just being a normal citizen who has a right to be told on what's being done?
well, i don't know where my argument is going here. I'm sure lawyers or law student will say something to defend the lawyer. But really, sometimes, you just got to hand it to the doctors. And if something bad happens, and if you SO believe in God, heh, if its time to die, you die.
What doctors do are merely stalling the death and draining the economy of having to support older citizens and their medical bills. We can't help that, can we?
Med conference. Something that's not enjoyable but if I do learn something, I feel it's well worth my time.
IT's always interesting how they say it start at 8 and you go there 5 minutes before and there's a trickle of people with some FREE food and drinks around (no alcohol of course, it's not a reception!)
sometimes you got pharm companies with their products and of course what i'm really interested in-freebies like pens, post-its, notebooks, pen torches (even better!), stethoscope label, books on useful stuff...can't be bother with their glossy brochure glorifying their products though. Zzzz..
then come the DOctors. Watching them digging into the sandwiches, coffees, teas, muffins(hmm...) its really funny. and there they stood, chatting, joking, laughing, they are only human. I like to watch the expanding waistline too, never fails to give me a kick.
and it never starts till some big shot walks into the room, and everyone has to follow suit. its usually 5 to 10 minutes after the appointed time.
here comes the presentation. Some nervous, some have dry humour, some stammer all the way, some fumbled. I have no doubt I am one of the fumblers and nervous one. then my favourite or least favourite part:the ego battle time. the Q and A.
At this time i seat back and imagine tanks and gun fight going on in a battle scence like you would see in Saving Private Ryan.
then lights on...out we go...
ok, i'm not black, or more politically correct, African-American, so i apologise for being a hip-hop wannabe and using the title above.
English is not my first language, more apologies for future grammatical, spelling, vocabulary, what-have-yous mistakes. But i'd like to think that i'm proficient enough to write in English.
I never trusted my diary, the last time i wrote in one was...lemme see, 13 years ago, and even then i distrust it so much it just gets boring because all i did was writing down what i did for that day, fucking interesting ain't it? oh by the way, am i allow to curse in here? Cool.
I think the best thing about having a blogspot, after all the hoo-hah about bloggin I read in TIME mag esp during the US presidential election, is the annoymity. An open diary-this shall help me deal with my trust issue!
Typing is less tiring than writing too i must say. And since i've been telling myself to get one, i will do it TODAY!
More about myself, i am a foreigner, seriously, a foreigner, living in Dublin, that's the capital of Irish Republic for you. And to all those ignoramus, no there's no religious fighting in here, that's in BELFAST!
I thought of naming my blog "foreignerInDublin" but since i don't plan to stay here forever (oh, no no, not with this weather and standard/cost of living) But fear not, i'll relate my experiences here, if you bother to read about it. Why a foreigner, well, because I am not from this region, i look, speak, sound different from the locals, and even so my origin causes lots of confusion, having an ethnicity that doesn't match where I came from. I spent most time of the year here so i'll be relating trials and tribulations, experiences, new things i learnt here. Another thing i'll reveal about myself is that I'm a student here.
Let's see how this go..perhaps its a matter of time before i lose steam on blogging. Ah well, you never know till you try. CAn't think of anything else to write. Till then..
